Register for the 8th ISSMMTC
We are now open for registration. To register, you need to:
- Complete the registration page which you can find HERE (will open new window) which includes:
- Additional events (field trips, workshop)
- Let us know about any special requirements (dietary, mobility, etc.)
- Additional dinner guests besides you
- Pay the fees (you will receive email confirmation for payment)
- Submit (you will receive email confirmation for registration)
- Early bird discount fees apply until 15 November 2017.

Travel Grants
Partial financial support is available for students, post-doctoral fellows and early career scientists to attend the 2018 ISSMMTC in Victoria, BC, Canada that will take place 7-9 May, 2018. Grantees are required to present their work as part of the conference in the broader theme of submarine mass movements and their consequences.
Special conditions/considerations:
- Priority will be given to students and participants from developing countries (proof of student or career status will be requested).
- Student or participant must be the 1st author of a complete research paper or poster
- Student or participant must attend the conference and present his/her work before reimbursement can be processed.
- The successful grantees will be selected by the Student Grant Committee from the list of applicants that fulfill the previous conditions.
- Grantees will be expected to acknowledge in their poster/presentation S4SLIDE, UNESCO, and IGCP.
- Applications should be emailed to the Student Grant Committee Chair: Dr. Lorena Moscardelli (lorena.moscardelli@utexas.edu).
- The title of the email must be 'S4SLIDE/ISSMMTC8 grant application', the email should contain your abstract, affiliation, information about your degree or academic position and a 2-page CV.
- The deadline for application submission is 15 February 2018.
